About this Quick-Start Workshop

The Create a Project Charter workshop focuses on bringing project stakeholders together to define the most critical components of the project that will deliver the IT solution to your customers.  After you have completed the Business Case to select your preferred solution, you're now ready to define the project that will deliver that solution to your customer. To formally define a new project, you need to document its Project Charter. The Project Charter states the boundaries for undertaking the project by describing its scope, organization and proposed implementation approach.

Workshop Outcomes

  • Define the project vision, objectives, scope and deliverables (i.e. what you have to achieve)
  • Identify the project stakeholders, roles and responsibilities (i.e. who will take part in it)
  • Describe the proposed approach towards implementing the project (i.e. how it will be undertaken)
  • Identify the key meetings, workspace and tools the team will use (i.e. how we will work together)
  • Identify the risk, issues and dependencies that may impact the project

Workshop Duration

Over the course of four days, our expert facilitators will help you and your team work through the key steps and activities required to complete an initial draft of a Project Charter for your project.  Each day of the workshop is designed to help your team develop the most important content areas utilizing our our best practice tools, templates and processes.
