Building IT Capability, Going from Good to Great
Darby Consulting helped Parsley Energy, an independent oil & gas company operating in the Permian Basin to plan and implement a large portfolio of software and hardware related IT projects focused on transforming business processes across land acquisition, drilling and completions, operations, legal, risk and accounting departments.
Project Description
Given the increased number of projects needed to support a business in hyper-growth, the client needed to more than double the size of its IT department with seasoned IT project managers, business analysts, QA testing and training specialists with expertise in planning and implementing complex hardware and software projects relevant to the oil and gas industry. In addition, the client’s headquarters were located in Austin, TX where there were few professionals with the industry experience required. The client also needed to implement a PMO office to achieve greater coordination and quality standards.
